The Georgetown Hoyas will have the services of guard Chris Wright for the 2011 NCAA Tournament. The senior, who has been out of action since February 25 with a broken hand, announces on his Twitter account that he will indeed play in the NCAA Tournament.
Everybody wondering if im playing in the NCAA's. Yes i will be playing.
Earlier, Comcast SportsNet's Ron Thompson reported that Wright has been cleared to play and will begin practicing with the team on Monday. The Hoyas had floundered without Wright, losing four straight games, including a 79-62 loss in the second round of the Big East Tournament. It remains unclear how healthy Wright will be, but the hope for the Hoyas is that they can get a favorable seed because those four losses came without Wright in the lineup.
Wright will have been sidelined for three weeks by the time the Hoyas play their first-round NCAA Tournament game.
