The Georgetown Hoyas return to the court on Saturday when they host American University in a local DC matchup.

The DMV area gets a local matchup this Saturday when the Georgetown Hoyas host the American Eagles at noon at the Verizon Center.

Georgetown comes into the game at 9-1, led by Otto Porter's 12.9 points per game and Greg Whittington's 12.5. Whittington also leads the team in rebounding, with 7.7 per contest.

American most recently lost to Hampton to start a tough three-game road swing. After facing Georgetown, the Eagles will travel to Lawrence to face the Kansas Jayhawks.

Game Date/Time: Saturday, Dec. 22, 12 p.m.

TV Schedule: ESPN3
