The Georgetown Hoyas took a 10-point lead into halftime 31-21 over the Connecticut Huskies. The Huskies put on a small rally in the second half, but just couldn't do enough offensively to catch up with the Hoyas double-digit lead. Big man Andre Drummond finished the game with 18 points and 8 rebounds while Jeremy Lamb also added 14 points from the bench with 7 rebounds.
Hollis Thompson led the Hoyas at halftime with 10 points and added 8 more in the second half to finish the game leading the Hoyas in scoring with 18 points and 9 rebounds. Center Henry Sims also added another 13 points with 4 rebounds. The Huskies ended the game out rebounding the Hoyas and turning the ball over less, but the Huskies shot just 2 of 21 from the three-point line. The Hoyas were able to rebound from their loss to Pittsburgh in dominant fashion, 58-44.

The Georgetown Hoyas welcomed in struggling Connecticut Huskies team that is trying to avoid a four-game losing streak. The Huskies have lost their last three games in a row and currently it looks like the Hoyas may hand them the fourth game in a row as Georgetown holds a ten-point lead at halftime, 31-21. The Huskies had hit just 1 of their 11 shots from the three-point line with Jeremy Lamb hitting the only shot and putting down seven points at halftime. Big man Andre Drummond leads the Huskies with 10 points at the half.
For the Hoyas, Hollis Thompson leads Georgetown in scoring with 10 points and also added 6 rebounds. Both Jason Clark and Henry Sims added another seven points for the Hoyas. Unlike the Huskies, Georgetown has connected on 3 of their 7 three-point shots and are just shooting better overall from the field.

The struggling Connecticut Huskies, losers of three in a row coming into Wednesday's game against Georgetown, will make two significant lineup changes, coach Jim Calhoun announced on Tuesday. Guard Shabazz Napier and forward Alex Oriakhi will both go to the bench, replaced by Ryan Boatright and Roscoe Smith, respectively.
"We have to push the pace," Calhoun said Tuesday as the Huskies were checking into their hotel. "We can't win at the pace we've been playing."
Napier and Oriakhi are two mainstays of the team. Napier is second on the club in scoring, averaging 14.3 points per game, while Oriakhi is second on the team in rebounding behind center Andre Drummond. Both players were also starters on UConn's National Title team last season.
