Feb 12, 2012 - The Georgetown Hoyas (18-5, 8-4 Big East) welcome the struggling St. John's Red Storm (10-14, 4-8) to the Verizon Center on Sunday, with Georgetown aiming for their seventh straight home win over the Johnnies.

Defense will once again be a key for the Hoyas on Sunday. Georgetown is allowing just 58.8 points per game, making them the top dog defensively in the Big East. The Hoyas also hold opponents to 38.8 percent shooting, fourth-best in the league.

St. John's is reeling. The Red Storm have lost two in a row, and are down to just six scholarship players after junior guard Malik Stith withdrew from the team this week.

These two teams met previously this season, on January 15. The Hoyas prevailed 69-49, holding the Red Storm to under 60 points for the eight time in the teams' last 10 meetings.
