The West team lead the East team 58-46 exiting halftime of the 2012 McDonald's All-American Game, with Shabazz Muhammed leading all scorers in the first half. The West continued to push the pace in the game early, killing the East in transition and pulling out to a 20 point lead early on in the second half. The East team settled down and rallied to get the game close, but it was too late.
The East team pulled within four points of the West and looked as if they were going to be able to pull the come back, but the West team finished up with a 106-102 victory. Muhammed didn't hit many shots in the second half of the game early, not picking up a single point in the first five minutes of the second half. Muhammed still led the game in scoring however with 21 points and 6 rebounds, winning the game's MVP award.

The 2012 McDonald's All-American Game tipped off on Wednesday evening in Chicago, featuring some of the countries best basketball recruits, including Georgetown Hoyas recruit power forward Devonta Pollard. After the first half of play, the West team leads the East team with a 58-46 lead.
The pace of the game as been a fast and a bit sloppy, which is expected a bit from the high school players trying to make a name for themselves on the big stage. The East team tied the game and took a slight lead in the first half, but a 9-0 run by the West with just a few minutes left in the half gave them back the lead going into halftime. Shabazz Muhammed leads all scorers with 15 points and 5 rebounds in the first half of the game.
