Pete Thamel of the New York Times was the first person to tip us off to what was going to happen Wednesday night.

Nerlens Noel will announce his choice with a logo shaved in his hair. (Hence the hoodie). Some barber in Charlotte has a scoop.

At the time, most of us thought that the logo would be that of the Georgetown Hoyas. But the long and crazy ride that has been Noel's recruitment process took one final turn.

First, Noel had a LeBron moment, leading into his announcement with the stock "I'm taking my talents to ..." phrase before doing ... this.

Yup, that actually happened. We're not sure what there is left to say except "Good luck, Nerlens. We wish we had the chance to know you better in D.C."
