Maryland Vs. Miami: Alex Wujciak Intercepts Stephen Morris, Returns For Touchdown

The heart and soul of the Maryland Terrapins is senior linebacker Alex Wujciak. He's a two-time all-ACC player, and he's the emotional leader of the entire team. So it's only fitting that Wujciak made the big play that completely turned the tide of this game against Miami.

Wujciak stepped in front of the Miami receiver and picked off Stephen Morris' pass, returning it 60 yards for a touchdown to give Maryland a 14-6 lead. Morris was looking for the first down, but Wujciak read his eyes and jumped in at the perfect time. It's the second interception return of Wujciak's career, and it gives Maryland a major edge in this key ACC showdown.

It's also the latest big play for the Terps this season. As Patrick Stevens notes, Maryland has now outscored teams 73-7 on points off turnovers this season. Big plays are the major reason they are 6-2 this season.

Miami running back Lamar Miller, who has Miami's only touchdown, was injured on the play and walked off gingerly. It's not clear what caused the injury, but if he cannot return, that would be a huge loss for Miami. Miller has been running all over the Terps all day.
