If the Maryland Terrapins are to upset the Florida State Seminoles in Tallahassee today, it would be considered a fairly large upset. Usually when a team orchestrates an upset like that, it begins with a pretty fast start. That is pretty much the opposite of what is happening very early in this game. After an impressive return on the opening kickoff, the Seminoles marched down the field without much resistance and scored an easy touchdown for an early 7-0 lead.
The drive was capped off by a seven-yard touchdown run, but the drive was really built on some missed tackles by the Maryland defenders. Florida State was able to gain a number of easy yards off screens when Maryland cornerbacks simply flew right by the receiver. If this is the way the Maryland defense is going to play all day it is going to be a very, very long day.
