Terrell Stoglin scored a game-high 25 points in the loss, hitting 4-8 from three-point range, including a number of shots late in the game. James Padgett added 16 points, but he was the only other Terps player in double figures. Sam Maniscalo was outstanding for Illinois, scoring 22 points and hitting 5-8 from three-point range. Two other Illinois player scored in double figures to lead the way. Freshman Nick Faust struggled for the Terps, scoring just five points on 2-11 from the field.
