Maryland wide receiver Ronnie Tyler has certainly had his ups and downs this year on the field, but the low point of his season came as a result of an off the field incident that saw him suspended for two of Maryland's most crushing defeats. Tyler was out past curfew and allegedly assaulted a man outside of a 7-11 in College Park. According to Eric Prisbell of the Washington Post, Tyler thought that suspension might have signaled the end of his career at Maryland.

“When it first happened, I thought I was done,” Tyler said. “I was grateful that he gave me another opportunity. . . . “Every snap I take, every time I put on a jersey I am grateful, every bus ride to Byrd or any other stadium I am grateful just to be there again,” Tyler said.

Tyler hasn't been great when in action this year, but he is a senior and provides some leadership for a very young team. It is good to see that he seems genuinely remorseful of his actions and is trying to really soak in his remaining time as a Terp. He might drop a pass every now and again, but he seems like the kind of guy that is good for the team's morale.
