As Toledo prepares to take on Air Force in the Military Bowl at Washington's Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium on Dec. 28, Rockets coach Matt Campbell hopes the trip can be a learning opportunity for members of his squad according to Zach Silka of the Toledo Blade.
"The best thing is, we have a great opportunity for our kids to learn about history and learn about the United States," Campbell said. "We're going to have a chance to get around and sightsee a little bit. I think it'll be a great experience for our kids."
Toledo played in Detroit's Little Caesars Pizza Bowl last season after missing the postseason every year since 2005, so the trip to Washington will be something different for all of the players on the team.
