Longwood Vs. Maryland: Terps Have No Problems With Lancers In Historic 106-52 Win

Stay connected for news and updates

If a game happens in College Park and no one is there to see it, does it count as a win? For Gary Williams, it was a historic one.

Led by Sean Mosley's 20 points, the Terps demolished the Lancers 106-52.  The win gives Williams 665 career victories, moving him ahead of legendary UCLA coach John Wooden on the all-time wins list. Terrell Stoglin had 15 points off of the bench, while Dino Gregory had 14 points and Haukur Palsson had 13 points. Jordan Williams had a rare game without a double-double, finishing with nine points and 11 rebounds.

The game's outcome was never in question as Maryland jumped out early and never looked back. The Terps shot 54.2% and hit 10 three-pointers. Williams' historic win couldn't have been any easier.

The Terps head back to the ACC for the rest of the season. They head to Chestnut Hill to take on the Boston College Golden Eagles Saturday.
