Terrell Stoglin Injury: Terps Guard May Not Start Vs. Georgia Tech

The Maryland Terrapins will take on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in an ACC matchup with the ACC's leading scorer on the mend. Guard Terrell Stoglin will play from the bench, dealing with a back injury.

Jan 14, 2012 - The Maryland Terrapins will take on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in an ACC basketball matchup on Sunday, but the Terps will be with guard Terrell Stoglin starting the game on the bench instead of on the court according to Patrick Stevens of the Washington Times.

Maryland guard Terrell Stoglin could come off the bench for the second straight game --- this time because of an aching back.

Coach Mark Turgeon said he "didn't know yet" if Stoglin would return to the starting lineup after a one-game hiatus when the Terrapins play Georgia Tech on Sunday.

"We're 100 percent sure he's going to play," Turgeon said.

Stoglin leads the ACC and the Terps in scoring with 21.3 points per game. This will be the second game in which Stoglin will play from the bench instead of the starting lineup, but the coaching staff has classified his injury as "nothing major".
