Georgia Tech Vs. Maryland Final Score: Terps Improve To 2-1 In ACC Play With 61-50 Win Over Georgia Tech

Maryland Terrapin head coach Mark Turgeon picked up his second ACC win on Sunday night, as the Terps improved to 2-1 in league play with a 61-50 win over the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

Terrell Stoglin was a late addition to the starting lineup for Turgeon. Stoglin has been dealing with back problems, and came off the bench in last week's win over Wake Forest. Stoglin hit three three-pointers and finished with 14 points. He was one of three Terps in double figures, as Maryland got key contributions from both James Padgett and Sean Mosley.

Mosley scored the last seven Maryland points, finishing with 18 to lead the Terps. On defense, he shut down Glen Rice, Jr. who was averaging 25 points per game in ACC contests this season. Padgett had 14 points, and was six of seven from the free throw line where he has struggled for much of the season.

While it certainly wasn't the most entertaining and fast-paced contest, it was another quality ACC win for the Terps. Maryland continues conference play in Tallahassee on Tuesday, with a matchup against a Florida State team coming of a blow out victory over North Carolina.
