Five-star wide receiver recruit Stefon Diggs of Our Lady Of Good Counsel in Olney, Md. is probably the top recruit in the nation still unsigned after National Signing Day 2012. The Maryland Terrapins have made a late push to sign the local product and will host him for a visit over the weekend, as SB Nation's Maryland blog Testudo Times reminds us.
Testudo Times reports that Diggs will attend Saturday's basketball game between the Terps and North Carolina at Comcast Center and that quarterback Danny O'Brien will host him.
We already knew that this was in the works, but we've gotten some extra confirmation that it is, indeed, happening. And, as a bonus, we've been told his host on the official visit will be Danny O'Brien, who would likely be Diggs' quarterback in College Park. I'm not sure I could've picked a better host.
Ohio State is probably the favorite for Diggs' services, but that final visit means a lot for the Terps' chances. Diggs' family is close with Terps head coach Randy Edsall, and Maryland already brought in three of Diggs' high-school teammates, including four-star running back Wes Brown. The Terps may very well pull a rabbit out of their hat to improve their recruiting class.

Our Lady of Good Counsel (Olney, Md.) wide receiver Stefon Diggs has decided to visit the Maryland Terrapins just a day before National Signing Day, though he does not plan to make his announcement Wednesday.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound standout is the nation's No. 14 recruit according to MaxPreps and the No. 3 athlete on the board as well. He is ranked No. 8 overall prospect in the country by Rivals.com, who gave him five stars.
Diggs will most likely announce his decision on Feb.10. He has made official visits to California, Florida, Auburn and Ohio State and has received over 30 offers from various schools. He had 36 catches for 808 yards and scored 13 touchdowns this season.
