Maryland wide receiver Kerry Boykins may miss the remainder of the season due to injury.

Maryland Terrapins wide receiver Kerry Boykins will miss Saturday's game against Georgia Tech and may miss the remainder of the season due to a lingering hip injury, according to head coach Randy Edsall on Thursday.

According to Edsall, the situation doesn't look good and Boykins has been presented three separate courses of rehabilitation, two of which involve surgery. The fifth-year senior did meet with Edsall on Thursday morning to discuss the options but the decision will ultimately be up to Boykins as to what course of action is taken.

Boykins has missed three straight games and four of the last five due to a combination of hip and groin injuries. In the four games that he has played this season, Boykins has recorded four receptions for 36 yards. In 39 career games, he has recorded 57 catches for 669 yards and one touchdown.

It is unlikely that he would qualify for a hardship waiver as this is the only season that he has missed significant time because of injury.
