Three-star linebacker Jawand Blue was all set to head to Virginia Tech, but at the last minute, he has changed his mind and faxed a letter-of-intent to Miami, according to Matt Porter of the Palm Beach Post. The Hokies will likely survive his loss, but coach Frank Beamer is still very upset about the switch, according to Porter.
Blue is telling Frank Beamer, "I wanted to stay home." Beamer: "This doesn't make any sense. I've never felt more betrayed or lied to."

Beamer: "It would be a blessing for you to go away for school. I promise. You've got homeboys here. ... We need you. We're counting on you."

All the while, Blue sat there listening to Beamer vent. It sounds like a very awkward scene.
UPDATE: A Virginia Tech representative denies the conversation ever taking place.
Being told by VT spokesperson that the conversation on @mattyports timeline never happened.

UPDATE: Virginia Tech tells Porter that the conversation took place, but it was assistant Charley Wiles talking to Blue, not Beamer.
#VaTech says that was not Frank Beamer on the phone. It was assistant coach Charley Wiles. Confirms the tweets I posted earlier were true.
