Maryland was hoping to be able to avenge their early season loss to the North Carolina Tar Heels, but just couldn't get their offense going as they go down 88-64 on Wednesday night. Nick Faust ended the night leading the Terps in scoring with 17 points while Terrell Stoglin ended the night with 16 points. James Padgett ended the night with a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds.
The Terps were just killed by Carolina forward Tyler Zeller as he ended the night with 30 points and 8 rebounds. Zeller shot from the free throw line 23 times, missing just three shots. On a nice story note, senior walk on David Duhon took a buzzer beater three-point shot for North Carolina, sinking it at the end of the game. John Henson also finished the night with 19 points and 9 rebounds, nearly picking up a double-double. The Terps fall to 6-9 in ACC play with the loss.

The Maryland Terrapins were hoping to avenge an early season loss to the North Carolina Tar Heels, but Carolina holds an 11-point lead at halftime. In the last meeting forward John Henson slammed down a dunk in the final seconds that stuck in the Terps craw and he's at it again with 10 points and 4 rebounds at the half. Tyler Zeller is the real problem for the Terps with 15 points already at the half.
As the Terps enter the second half down 36-25, but Terrell Stoglin is doing his best to lead the Terps back into it with 10 points and 3 rebounds, but he's shooting just three of ten from the floor. Nick Faust picked up six points while James Padget has four points with six rebounds.

The Maryland Terrapins will be looking for revenge against the North Carolina Tar Heels on Wednesday night, as the Terps head to Chapel Hill to play their second to last game of the season before the ACC tournament. In the last matchup between the two teams, the Tar Heels beat Maryland 83-74 and used their size advantage to dominate the game, including an emphatic dunk by Carolina forward John Henson.
Maryland played the Tar Heels tough, but Carolina just dominated the boards and out rebounded Maryland. The Terps will have to find out a way to pull down some rebounds and keep it close again to spoil North Carolina's final home game.

The Maryland Terrapins were just too small to compete with the Tar Heels the last time they played, can they overcome that disadvantage tonight?
