Maryland Football Recruiting 2012: Stefon Diggs Set To Make Decision Friday

Stefon Diggs, a Maryland native and five-star wide receiver recruit by Rivals, says he's ready to announce where he will be playing college football next fall, tweeted Jeff Ermann of InsideMDSports.com Tuesday. According to Ermann, Diggs will make his announcement Friday at 10 p.m on Comcast Sports Network.

Diggs, who's the second ranked wide out by Rivals, will be deciding between the hometown Maryland Terpans, Ohio St. Buckeyes, Florida Gators and Auburn Tigers. Rumors have Diggs, who's the top unsigned recruit for the Class of 2012, leaning toward the Buckeyes but College Park is hoping the Our Lady of Good Counsel in Olney, MD stud will stay close to home.

On Saturday, during the Maryland men's basketball game versus the North Carolina Tar Heels, Diggs made an official visit to College Park where he witnessed fans chanting his name to try and make his decision a bit easier.
