Danny O'Brien Denies Report Of Transfer From Maryland Football

Stay connected for news and updates

Initially it was reported that Maryland Terrapins quarterback Danny O'Brien had met with Terps head coach Randy Edsall and would be transferring from Maryland. As Lee Corso would say, "Not so fast my friend!" According to O'Brien's twitter account, he's still a Terp.

Dan Hellie of NBC 4 originally reported the news of O'Brien's decision to transfer, making him the ninth Terp to do so since Randy Edsall took over as head coach of the football program. It's possible that O'Brien may have just spoken with Edsall with thoughts of transferring or that he did inform the coach of his intent to transfer, but had a change of heart after the news broke. With young players, their minds can change on a whim. Then again it's possible his transfer hasn't been finalized or was denied by the school.
