The Maryland Terrapins found out who they will meet in the Elite 8 on Tuesday, as No. 1 seed Notre Dame Fighting Irish dismantled the No. 5 seed St. Bonaventure Bonnies 79-35 Sunday afternoon.
The Bonnies were held to a ridiculously low 18.8 percent shooting percentage for the game by the Irish. Cece Dixon was able to score 13 points, however it was not nearly enough to get a win.
The Irish held big advantages in every statistical category imaginable, including a 40-12 advantage in points in the paint, and a 16-0 edge in fast break points.
Natalie Novosel of Notre Dame led all scorers with 16 points. The Irish will play the Maryland Terrapins in the regional final Tuesday at 9 p.m.
