While the Randy Edsall era in College Park has made recruiting news for all the wrong reasons in recent months, they received a solid pick-up for the class of 2013 when Mike Parker, a four-star rated athlete by Rivals from Nokesville, Virginia (Kettle Run High School), committed to the Terps on Twitter Tuesday evening:
Thank you to everyone who has helped me out. Through a painful process. I've decided to become apart of the Maryland football team in 2014!— Mike Parker (@That_Parker) March 27, 2012
Parker is a 6-foot-3, 205-lb. corner and wideout rated as the fifth-best overall "athlete position" by Rivals, and the 114th-best overall prospect in the 2013 signing class. Per Rivals, Parker had offers from Virginia Tech, Tennessee, Boston College and Stanford, among others. The Terps already have one commitment, from three-star defensive back Jarrett Ross.
