ACC Tournament 2012, Virginia Tech Vs. Duke Halftime Score: Blue Devils Hold Narrow 31-26 Lead

Stay connected for news and updates

The Virginia Tech Hokies are playing excellent defense and are battling on the boards, but their poor shooting from the field has been their undoing so far. In most facets of the game, they're matching or outplaying the Duke Blue Devils, but their inability to make open shots has been shocking. Even though the Hokies are shooting just 28 percent from the field, the Blue Devils only have a lead of 31-26 at halftime.

Austin Rivers is only 1-4 from behind the arc, but he's been great otherwise. He leads all scorers with 11 points. Virginia Tech has spread the scoring around, and Robert Green leads the way with eight points. Erick Green has been disappointing -- he's shooting just 1-7 from the floor -- but that one made basket was at the buzzer just before the end of the half.
