George Mason will take on Maryland for the first time since 2004 at the Verizon Center December 2.

The BB&T Classic will take place in the Verizon Center in early December, but most of the match ups aren't known yet. One matchup that is known however is the George Mason Patriots taking on the Maryland Terrapins on December 2nd in the Verizon Center.

The matchup between the two teams has been a rumor for quite a while, but now an official source on the matter has confirmed that the game will happen. The two teams don't meet often, despite being in close proximity, as their last meeting was in 2004. That game saw Maryland beat George Mason 78-54 in the BB&T Classic. In the series between the teams, Maryland holds a 6-0 lead.
