Maryland, Virginia, Virginia Tech, VMI and Navy are all local teams taking the football field on Saturday.
As the college football season moves into week four, there are some pretty good games on tap for local teams in the D.C. area this Saturday.
The No. 8 West Virginia Mountaineers host the Maryland Terrapins at Mountaineer Field. Maryland enters the game at 2-1 this season after falling to UCONN at home last weekend, 24-21. The Bowling Green Falcons head into Blacksburg to take to the Virginia Tech Hokies. Virginia Tech suffered their first loss of the season in Week 3 when they fell to Pitt on the road, 35-17. They will be looking to bounce back at home against a 1-2 Bowling Green squad coming off a loss to Toledo in the MAC, 27-15.
Virginia Military Institute travels to Annapolis to take on the Navy Midshipmen. Navy will be looking for their first win of the season as they enter the game 0-2 after falling to Penn State last Saturday, 34-7. VMI enters at 1-2 and will be looking to bounce back from last weekend's blowout loss to the Richmond Spiders, 47-6.
Finally, the Virginia Cavaliers travel to Texas to take on the No. 17 TCU Horned Frogs. TCU is 2-0 this season and coming off a 20-6 thumping over Kansas. Virginia is 2-1 and trying to forget about their blowout loss in Atlanta last weekend to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, 56-20.
