The Terrapins face the Mountaineers on Saturday
Maryland Terrapins senior wide receiver Kerry Boykins and sophomore defensive lineman Keith Bowers have been ruled out for Saturday's non-conference contest against the No.8-ranked West Virginia Mountaineers (12 p.m. on FX), the Baltimore Sun's Jeff Barker is reporting. Boykins is dealing with a hamstring injury, while Bowers is trying to recover from an injured calf.
Last week, Boykins caught two passes for just 15 yards in the Terps' 24-21 loss to the Connecticut Huskies. In his place, head coach Randy Edsall will start freshman Stephon Diggs, who collected a team-best three catches for 57 receiving yards against the Huskies.
Meanwhile, Bowers has dealt with a few health issues this season. The backup to senior A.J. Francis missed Maryland's season opener against William & Mary due to an injury, but did play in the last two games making just two total tackles.
