The Redskins may not have a first-round pick, but they are currently projected to wind up with one of the rising players in the draft.

Washington doesn't have a first-round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, but that doesn't mean the Redskins can't come away with one of the steals of the draft. Washington is currently projected to select Connecticut linebacker Sio Moore in the second round.

Moore, who has been rising up draft boards recently, is the Redskins' projected pick in the latest mock draft from Peter Schrager of Fox Sports. Moore was once thought of as a likely mid-round pick, but a strong showing at the combine and in workouts has boosted his stock. At 6'1 and 245 pounds, Moore has the size and athleticism to play multiple positions. He was a tackling machine in college, and also proved to be an excellent blitzer and pass rusher. He could potentially fit at inside or outside linebacker in Washington.

SB Nation ranked Moore as the No. 49 player in the draft, which falls in line with his projected selection at No. 51. Not many inside linebackers are projected to go early in the draft, with Arthur Brown, Manti Te'o and Kevin Minter the top prospects. While Moore has worked his way into the late first-round discussion, SB Nation's Matthew Fairburn does not have Moore going in the first round of his latest mock draft.

A pair of No. 4 seeds who win games in completely different ways will clash in the opening game of the 2013 Final Four.

The Syracuse Orange are making their final season as a member of the Big East count.

The fourth-seeded Orange, who will move to the ACC following the season, used their trademark 2-3 zone to shut down every one of the four offenses they've faced. They find themselves one win away from a berth in the National Championship game as a result.

Syracuse will face the No. 4 Michigan Wolverines on Saturday in the 2013 Final Four. Like the Orange, the Wolverines defeated a top-seed on their way to winning their region. The difference was how the two teams knocked off those teams.

The Orange held the Indiana Hoosiers to a season-low scoring output in a 61-50 victory in the Sweet 16. Syracuse also kept the Montana Grizzlies and Marquette Golden Eagles to under 50 points, and leads all tournament teams in field goal percentage defense. They've also forced 67 turnovers, compared to just 61 baskets allowed.

Only the Iowa State Cyclones scored more points on the Kansas Jayhawks this season than Michigan did in its 87-85 overtime win on March 29. Scoring has been a theme for the Wolverines in the tournament, in which they rank second in points per game behind the Louisville Cardinals at 78.8. Mitch McGary's emergence is a big reason for Michigan's exceptional offensive output. McGary is averaging 17.5 points per game in the tournament -- more than 10 points better than his regular-season average -- while grabbing 11.5 rebounds per contest.

The winner of this classic offense-vs.-defense matchup will face either Louisville or the Wichita State Cyclones in the title game on Monday.

The East regional final in the NCAA tournament took place in the Verizon Center, with the Syracuse Orange winning the all Big-East matchup.

The No. 4 Syracuse Orange are advancing to the Final Four after defeating the No. 3 Marquette Golden Eagles 55-39 in the East Regional final at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.

The Orange completely neutralized the Golden Eagles offensively, holding Marquette to 23 percent shooting from the field and 13 percent from behind the arc. This allowed Syracuse to win handily despite only shooting 38 percent from the floor themselves.

Saturday evening will determine which team from the East Region will head to the Final Four in Atlanta.

The East Region is down to just two teams. On Saturday night in Washington D.C., one school will advance to the Final Four.

After knocking off top-seeded Indiana on Thursday night, Jim Boeheim and the Syracuse Orange are looking like a trendy pick to possibly win the NCAA title. This team has always had the talent needed to make a run in March, but putting it together for more than a handful of games has been an issue. Now, it seems they are peaking at the right time, as this article from SB Nation's blog, Nunes Magician, points out.

Marquette probably shouldn't even be in the position they're in now. No. 14 seed Davidson had them beaten in the final minute, but a last-second collapse propelled MU to the third round. They then snuck by Butler to move on to the Sweet 16. The Golden Eagles answered any skeptic's questions on Thursday night though, blowing out No. 2 seed Miami to give coach Buzz Williams his first shot a Final Four. Check out Anonymous Eagle for more on Marquette's journey through Mach.

The two Big East foes met once in the regular season, with Marquette winning at home, 74-71, in late February. Syracuse led by as many as 11 points in the first half, but they couldn't get anything to fall in the second as MU pulled away down the stretch. Davante Gardner had a big game with 26 points and eight rebounds, while C.J. Fair led the Orange with 20 and seven.

Tipoff from D.C. is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. ET at the Verizon Center. The game will be televised by CBS.

The experts think DC could be primed for an epic match-up in the Elite Eight.

With the NCAA Tournament down to its final 16 teams, proceedings will move to four regional sites that will host two Sweet 16 games and one Elite Eight match-up. If things go the right way for fans of basketball in general, Washington D.C. could be set up for an epic Elite Eight match-up between the Indiana Hoosiers and Miami Hurricanes.

It's not a given that the teams will meet just yet. The No. 2 Hurricanes, a giant killer early in the regular and conference seasons, will have to get past the Marquette Golden Eagles. The No. 1 Hoosiers don't have an easy task in front of them either: a date with the No. 4 Syracuse Orange.

But it seems as if CBS Sports' college basketball experts believe we're set up for an epic Elite Eight match-up in our nation's capital. The experts unanimously give a nod to the Hurricanes in their match-up against Marquette. Only Matt Norlander disagreed with his compatriots, taking the Orange against the Indiana Hoosiers.

Three teams with two digits in their seeds still remain in the tournament, including the La Salle Explorers, Oregon Ducks and Florida Gulf Coast Eagles. All of them have tough matchups in the Sweet 16, facing the Wichita St. Shockers, Louisville Cardinals and Florida Gators, respectively. As far as the experts are concerned, every Cinderella's time at the ball will end Thursday or Friday as they face arguably their toughest opponents yet.

CBS Sports' panel of college basketball experts unanimously believe Louisville and Florida will get past Oregon and FGCU, but the Explorers are thought to at least have a fighting chance. Jeff Goodman and Jeff Borzello both like La Salle to beat Wichita St., while Gary Parrish and Matt Norlander prefer the Shockers squad.

The experts are also evenly split on the outcome of the Arizona and Ohio St. game, while Matt Norlander is the only one to take the Syracuse Orange against the Indiana Hoosiers.

Most agree that Washington has secondary issues, so which player will they snag with their first pick in April? And how will they get a good one without a first-round pick?

Washington traded away their first-round pick for this year and next in order to secure the rights to Robert Griffin III in last year's draft. It has paid off in the form of an early playoff run, but how will they now fix the holes that plagued them for much of the season, namely the secondary? Mike Shanahan will have to figure something out.

For more on the Redskins, check out Hogs Haven

As they must wait until near the end of the second round to make their first pick (unless they trade up again), the Skins will need to hope to find value picks later on to improve a pass defense ranked 30th in the NFL in yards allowed and a total defense ranked 28th. Washington was incredibly difficult to stop on the ground, and especially bad at stopping other teams from doing the same amount of scoring.

The Redskins scored 27.2 points per game, and allowed 24.2.

All of which led to a 10-6 record and the NFC East crown, but there will need to be more done to retain that title, including nailing their picks. Steve Shoup of fanspeak.com posted his Redskins mock draft at SBNation's own Hogs Haven and had Washington picking cornerback Jonathan Banks of Mississippi State for starters. Here is what he had to say:

Some people will try to knock Banks due to his 40 time, but this guy can play. He's got great size and length and will matchup well versus bigger receivers. He's very physical and strong both in blitzing and in run support. If he falls to the late second round he's a great pick here.

Banks could be considered a steal this late, but is plausible to slide for his speed. Also in that mock draft are safety DJ Swearinger in the third, corner Brandon McGree in the fifth, and safety Cooper Taylor in the seventh. Showing that most people agree on at least one thing: The Redskins secondary needs a lot of help.

Experts from around the Internet are jumping on the Louisville bandwagon.

If you check out the various bracket predictions from around the country, there is one common theme: everyone loves Louisville. No matter where you go, people are picking the Cardinals to win the national championship.

Here at SB Nation, Chris Dobbertean picked the Cardinals to take home the national title, upending Indiana in the championship. He has Georgetown making it to the Sweet 16, but falling there to Florida when their offense stalls.

Everyone at Sports Illustrated is drinking the Louisville Kool-Aid, with all six of their pundits picking the Cardinals to win the national title. Only Kelli Anderson thinks the Hoyas make the Final Four.

CBS Sports doesn't break from the field too much, with eight of their 13 experts choosing Louisville to win it all. Jeff Borzello, Dennis Dodd and Mateen Cleaves believe in Georgetown enough to have them in the Final Four in their brackets.

The lone outlier is Yahoo!, whose computer says Kansas is most likely to win the national title. Well, Yahoo! and President Obama, who picked Indiana to take home the title.
