We mentioned yesterday that Coach Bruce Boudreau speculated that Semyon Varlamov that he might be available to return from his injury as early as Saturday.

Today the Capitals made a roster move that seems to confirm that Varlamov is just about ready to go. According to Bob McKenzie of TSN, the Caps have put reserve goalkeeper Dany Sabourin on waivers. The Caps might be willing to lose some of their depth at goalkeeper because they know that Varlamov will be able to replace him on the depth chart soon.
