The bad news is that the Hershey Bears lost to the streaking Charlotte Checkers today. The good news for the Capitals though is that rookie Marcuss Johansson is back on the ice.
Johansson started a two-game stint in Hershey today as a rehabilitation for a foot injury he suffered on Monday October 11. According to Katie Carrera of the Washington Post, Bruce Boudreau referred to Johansson as being "week-to-week" four weeks ago.
Tim Leone of The Patriot-News was on the scene in Charlotte with a report.
Rookie centerman Marcus Johansson, on an assignment from the Washington Capitals expected to last two games, made his Hershey debut. He played on a line with Greentree and Jay Beagle and recorded two shots.
After participating in the pre-game skate Friday night in Boston but being named as a scratch, this is another positive step in the third line center's recovery. Johansson could be back in red as soon as Thursday night when the Lightning come to town.
