The Washington Capitals will face the Carolina Hurricanes on Friday, and Michal Neuvirth will be the starting goalie, according to Mike Vogel.

There is no word if Neuvirth is getting the start as the result of an injury to Tomas Vokoun, or if coach Bruce Boudreau just wanted to give his starting netminder a night off after struggling in some of the past few games. After starting off the season strong, Vokoun struggled in the Caps' west coast trip and did not have a stellar game on Tuesday either. I night off might be just what he needs to get back on track.
