Obviously, Carolina Hurricanes coach Paul Maurice is more concerned about his own team than his Friday opponent, the Washington Capitals. That said, saying something like this after the Capitals polished off a 5-1 win just looks silly. Via Chuck Gormley of CSN Washington.
"I didn’t think we had the jump that we need to play against that team," Maurice began. "I didn’t think they were any good, either. I didn’t think it was a particularly hotly contested game."
