VIDEO: Bruce Boudreau Vents About Refs In Capitals Vs. Rangers Second Period

The Washington Capitals were called for a ton of penalties in the second period of Game 3 of their first-round 2011 NHL Playoffs series against the New York Rangers. Some of them were probably undeserved, though I guess Rangers fans wouldn't say that.

All of this was too bad for Darren Pang, the NBC sideline reporter. Immediately after all this happened, Pang had to go ahead and interview Capitals coach Bruce Boudreau about all that happened. This gave Boudreau the perfect opportunity to go on the offensive and say that his team has fallen victim to a bunch of "ticky tack" penalty calls. Given the situation, Pang did fairly well for himself.

And maybe, just maybe, Boudreau's little speech worked out. The Rangers looked like they had a goal at the end of the second period, but the referees ruled that it went into the net after the final buzzer sounded. It was an incredibly close call that could have gone either way. Karma, once again, finds a way to balance everything out.
