VIDEO: Rene Bourque's Blatant Elbow Of Nicklas Backstrom

If there's any justice in this world, Calgary Flames forward Rene Bourque gets a multi-game suspension for this elbow of Nicklas Backstrom. That's not me being a homer, I hope. Just watch the slow-motion video, courtesy @recordsandradio.

That's in slow-motion, granted, but that's pretty bad. It seems like Bourque could have easily avoided doing that. Making matters worse, here's what he said after the game.

"Did it look really bad? Was he hurt? I didn't even know if I clipped him," Bourque said. "I didn't even know if I hit him in the head."

Uh, yeah dude, you hit him in the head. Or did you think that circular thing that your elbow connected with was Backstrom's chest? Get out of here.

As noted here, Bourque is having a discipline hearing, so a suspension is likely. That's good to hear. Hopefully it's more than one game.
