Boston Bruins goalie Tim Thomas is a two-time Vezina Trophy winner, a Stanley Cup winner, and the current holder of the Conn Smythe Trophy as Stanley Cup Finals MVP. He's also 37 years old. And the easiest way to beat a 37-year-old goaltender is to attack him with speed and a fast deke and exploit his lateral movement (or lack thereof).
That's exactly what Matt Hendricks did in scoring Washington's first goal of an eventual 3-2 shootout win Thursday night in Boston.
