The Capitals return to the Verizon Center with their playoff series tied at a game a piece. Can the defense keep the Bruins off the scoreboard while the offense can find its footing?

The Washington Capitals play game three of their Eastern Conference quarterfinal against the Boston Bruins at Verizon Center on Monday night. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. with a national television broadcast on NBC Sports Network with the local broadcast being done by Comcast Sports Network.

Capitals goaltender Braden Holtby has a goalie save percentage of .973, leading all goalies in the playoffs. He also has a GAA of 0.83, tied with opposing goaltender Tim Thomas.

The Capitals will need more on offense to calm concerns about their production in the first two games. But the defense, which has helped Holtby with 49 blocks, should be able to continue to keep the Bruins off the scoreboard for the most part.

Goaltender Michal Neuvirth did practice with the team on Sunday, but there is no word yet if he will dress for game three.
