Washington Capitals To Host Second Baltimore Hockey Classic September 26

The Washington Capitals have announced that they will play a preseason hockey game in Baltimore for the second straight season. When will tickets be on sale for this special game?

The Washington Capitals announced via their website that they will play in the Baltimore Hockey Classic against the Columbus Blue Jackets at 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, Md. for the second straight year.

The Washington Capitals will face the Columbus Blue Jackets in the second Baltimore Hockey Classic presented by W.R. Grace on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at 7 p.m. at 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, Capitals general manager George McPhee, 1st Mariner Arena/SMG general manager Frank Remesch and president of the Baltimore City Council Bernard C. "Jack" Young announced today.

Last year's Classic against the Nashville Predators was the first hockey game played in Baltimore since 1997 when the AHL's Baltimore Bandits moved to Cincinnati. It drew a sell-out crowd of 11,082 fans as the Capitals kicked off their preseason schedule.

Season ticket holders will have the opportunity to purchase tickets for the Classic starting Friday at 10 a.m. General public tickets will go on sale Monday at 10 a.m.
