The Washington Capitals can take a 2-1 series lead at the Verizon Center on Wednesday as they play Game 3 of their Eastern Conference Semifinal against the New York Rangers.
The Washington Capitals have a chance to put the pressure completely on the New York Rangers in Game 3 of their Eastern Conference Semifinal series at Verizon Center on Wednesday night. The Capitals have only won one game at home during the postseason, Game 4 of their quarterfinal series against the Boston Bruins.
The Capitals won game two thanks to a game-winning power play goal from captain Alex Ovechkin with 7:27 left in the third period. Goaltender Braden Holtby turned away 26 shots by the Rangers to earn his fifth win of the playoffs.
The game will be broadcast on NBC Sports Network starting at 7:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on the radio on 1500 AM WFED.
