2012 NHL Playoffs, Capitals Vs. Rangers Game 4 Final Score: Washington Beats New York, 3-2

The Washington Capitals and the New York Rangers engaged in a thriller at the Verizon Center this afternoon but it was the Caps who held serve on their home ice and came away with the 3-2 victory, evening the series with the Rangers at two games apiece.

With the score tied 2-2, the Caps scored on a power play goal from Mike Green on the assist from Dennis Wideman to give Washington the lead with 5:48 remaining in the third period.

The Caps were able to withstand a late, frantic push by the Rangers to try and tie the game but held firm and came away with the victory in Game 4.

The series resumes Monday night at 7:30 P.M. EST on New York's home ice at Madison Square Garden.
