Capitals Vs. Rangers, 2012 NHL Playoffs Game 6: Jason Chimera Makes It 2-0, Washington After 40 Minutes

Jason Chimera scored his fourth goal of the playoffs to give the Washington Capitals a 2-0 lead over the New York Rangers in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals at Verizon Center.

Chimera's goal was made possible by when Nicklas Backstrom deflected a John Carlson shot right to the skates of Chimera at the side of the net, and the winger made no mistake at 10:59.

New York's best chance came later in the period when Jeff Halpern received a four-minute high-sticking penalty, but the Caps were able to kill the penalty.

After 40 minutes, the shots were 20-17 in favor of New York.
