If you lived in Washington D.C., you would have probably had a lot of trouble passing up the opportunity to go to the White House and celebrate with everyone else after the news of Osama Bin Laden's death. Apparently, Mike Rizzo agrees.
The Nationals' general manager was apparently down at the White House with many others taking in the scenes and everything. F.P. Santangelo, the Nationals' color commentator for MASN, spilled the beans in the first inning on the telecast of the Nationals' game against the San Francisco Giants, saying that he "heard" that Rizzo was down on Pennsylvania Avenue.
No photos or videos have been uncovered yet, and Rizzo hasn't yet said anything publicly, if he ever will. But on a day where we were reminded over and over of the overlap between sports and an event as historic as Osama's death, this was one final moment that puts it all in perspective.
