It took a couple months, but finally, Bryce Harper's trademark cockiness manifested itself with something in a professional baseball game. CSN Washington caught video of Harper bashing his 14th home run of his Hagerstown Suns tenure on Monday night. It also caught Harper blowing a kiss at Zachary Neal, the pitcher on the Greensboro Grasshoppers as he rounded third base and headed for home.
You have to put the video in super slow motion to see it, but it's definitely there. Harper, of course, has a reputation for these kinds of things, but for the most part, he's been pretty tame thus far in his brief professional career. Obviously, that has changed.
It also remains to be seen on whether this upstaged Wilson Ramos controversial home-run trot at the end of the Nationals-Diamondbacks game on Sunday. Given the choice between an air kiss and a slow trot, I'm choosing the air kiss every time.
