John Lannan takes the hill looking to give the Nationals a win in the first game of a four-game series at Nationals Park.
The Los Angeles Dodgers come into Nationals Park on Labor Day Monday for the first of a four-game series this week. While the marquee matchup will occur on Tuesday with Stephen Strasburg's return, Monday's game is a big one because the two teams are going in opposite directions. The Dodgers had won six games in a row before losing on Sunday, while the Nationals have lost 10 of their past 12.
John Lannan takes the hill for the Nationals looking to end a personal four-game losing streak. He last pitched in a 3-1 loss to the Atlanta Braves last week. He is looking to improve on his 8-11 record this season. Hiroki Kuroda will pitch for the Dodgers, looking to improve on his 11-14 record on the season.
Here is the Nationals' lineup:
- Ian Desmond (SS)
- Rick Ankiel (RF)
- Ryan Zimmerman (3B)
- Michael Morse (LF)
- Jayson Werth (CF)
- Danny Espinosa (2B)
- Chris Marrero (1B)
- Wilson Ramos (C)
- John Lannan (P)
