Starter Chien-Ming Wang will be the first game pitcher of the Thursday doubleheader while Ross Detwiler will pitch the game following.
The Washington Nationals escaped the threat of rainy weather on Tuesday night and Washington got to see the return of pitcher Stephen Strasburg, however they could not escape the elements on Wednesday as game three of four against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Nationals Park has been cancelled due to rain.
Washington D.C. and the surrounding areas are all under various storm warnings and flood watches as storms that have haunted the East Coast since Monday night continue.
The Nats and Dodgers will now square off in a traditional doubleheader on Thursday with the first game kicking off at 1:05 P.M. Wednesday scheduled starter Chien-Ming Wang will take the mound first in Game 1 and southpaw pitcher Ross Detwiler will take over starter duties in the second game.
Currently the Nats and Dodgers have a win apiece in the four game series with the Dodgers winning the most recent game 7-3.
