Edwin Jackson is ticketed for free agency this winter, but is interested in returning to the Washington Nationals in 2013 and beyond.

Edwin Jackson has pitched for seven teams in his Major League career so far, and is set to be a free agent this winter. Jackson, however, is interested in staying with the Washington Nationals, according to the Washington Post.

"This is definitely a group of guys that I've jelled with," Jackson said. "And I definitely wouldn't mind coming back. We've had a fun year. I mean everyone has pretty much gotten to know each other real well. And we have fun out there, battling with each other."

Jackson pitched well for the Nationals in 2012, logging 189 and 2/3 innings in 31 starts. Jackson posted a 10-11 record, but pitched to the tune of a 4.03 ERA and 1.22 WHIP, while striking out 168 and walking 58.

Per the Washington Post, Jackson is looking for a multi-year contract this winter -- and rightfully so. Jackson pitched for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Tampa Bay Rays, Detroit Tigers, Arizona Diamondbacks, Chicago White Sox and St. Louis Cardinals prior to joining the Nationals in 2012.

Jackson appeared in two games for the Nationals in the NLDS. Jackson was tattooed for four runs on eight hits in Washington's Game 3 loss, and pitched out of the bullpen in Game 5, allowing one run in relief.
