Just over a month ago Washington Nationals prospect Anthony Rendon injured his ankle running the bases for Class A Potomac. Originally thought to be a strain, it was ultimately determined Rendon suffered a small fracture of the ankle. The team had hoped Rendon could return before the end of the season, and that now appears to be the case.
Take II: Anthony Rendon's ankle injury was a small fracture. He's getting better, and the Nats expect he will play later this season.

Rendon was the sixth overall pick in the 2011 draft and is widely considered to be Washington's top prospect behind Bryce Harper.
