The Washington National and Philadelphia Phillies face off for another three game set. Will this series be as tense as the last time these two rivals met?

The battle between the Washington National and Philadelphia Phillies is becoming one of the more heated rivalries in Major League Baseball. Washington's 19-year-old phenom Bryce Harper drew a preemptive beaning from Cole Hamels the last time these two teams faced off in a pressure-packed series in which the Nationals claimed two of three.

Gio Gonzalez gets the call for Washington on Monday night. This will be the first time he has faced the Phillies since joining the Nationals this season. He is 5-1 with a 2.22 ERA. Opponents are batting a scant .169 against the lefty.

Kyle Kendrick is on the mound for the Phillies. The right-hander has struggled this season, owning a 5.96 ERA and an 0-3 record bouncing back and forth from the rotation to the bullpen.

The game starts at 7:05 p.m. Fans who can't make the trip to Philly can see the game on MASN.
