The Washington Nationals offense cooled off last night, only putting up three runs in a 5-3 loss, but the Nationals will look to rebound in game two of the series against the Miami Marlins. Edwin Jackson (1-2, 3.38 ERA) takes the mound for the visitors, while Anibal Sanchez (2-3, 2.87) will be pitching for Miami.
Neither Jackson nor Sanchez have had much success as of late. Jackson hasn't won a start since mid-April, while Sanchez has lost his last three starts. Jackson hasn't pitched against Miami since 2010, and Sanchez is 7-0 in 18 career starts against Washington.
Bryce Harper, who went 1-for-4 last night, will extend his hitting steak to nine games with a hit tonight.
The game is set to begin at 7:10 p.m., and it will be televised on MASN2.
