Nationals Vs. Phillies Preview: Does Washington Have Enough 'Natitude' For The Sweep?

Stay connected for news and updates

The red hot Washington Nationals take their new found Natitude to national television on Sunday night. They will be looking to complete a three-game sweep over the Philadelphia Phillies, a team whose fans used to dominate the crowd at Nationals' games in DC.

Right-hander Jordan Zimmerman gets the start for Washington. Zimmerman surrendered three earned runs to Arizona over six and a third innings in his last outing, a loss, but he did manage to strike out six batters and walk just one.

Washington's offense exploded for seven runs on Saturday, but the bats will have their work cut out for them against Cole Hamels for the third game of the series. The Phillies' lefty is 3-1 with a 2.78 ERA in five starts this season. More impressive is that Hamels has fanned 36 batters and walked a mere five in 32 innings. Hamels is 10-4 with a 2.71 ERA in 20 career starts against Washington.

The game starts at 7:00 p.m. Eastern, and can be seen nationally on ESPN.
