Nationals Vs. Pirates: Washington Looks To Rebound After Difficult Game 1

The Washington Nationals lost a heartbreaker to the Pittsburgh Pirates in Game 1 of their series on Tuesday, but they'll have a chance to even things up on Wednesday. They send Ross Detwiler out to the mound, who has been pretty excellent for a No. 5 starter (or anyone else really) so far this season. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm and you can find the game on MASN2.

The Nationals could have won the game against the Pirates a few times last night, but the biggest blow obviously came in the bottom of the ninth inning after the Nationals had taken the lead in the top of the frame. The Nationals don't score a ton of runs, so it hurts to lose a game when they score enough runs to win on most days. Maybe the offense will keep it going for Ross on Wednesday.

We'll have plenty more on this series over the course of the next few days on SB Nation D.C., so keep it locked to this StoryStream for all the latest news and updates. As always, you can head over to Federal Baseball for more on this series and all things Washington Nationals baseball. For some perspective from the other dugout you can head over to Bucs Dugout, SB Nation's Pittsburgh Pirates blog.
