The Washington Nationals start a three-game series with the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday night. Can the Nationals extend their winning streak beyond three games?

The Washington Nationals head north of the border on Monday night as they face the Toronto Blue Jays at the Rogers Centre in Ontario. The Nationals are coming off a three-game sweep of the Boston Red Sox over the weekend and now have a two game lead over the Atlanta Braves in the NL East.

The Nationals send Edwin Jackson (2-3, 3.11 ERA) to the mound on Monday night as he looks for consecutive victories for the first time this season. His last start on June 6 against the Philadelphia Phillies, Jackson went seven innings allowing three runs, two earned, on three hits and six strike outs.

Jackson has made 13 career starts against the Blue Jays. He has allowed five runs or more in the last three starts against Toronto, but he is 1-0 in those three starts and is seeking a fourth consecutive winning decision against the Blue Jays.

The Blue Jays send Brandon Morrow (7-3, 2.90 ERA) against the Nationals. In his last start against the Chicago White Sox, he threw a two-hit shut out in a 4-0 Blue Jays victory. This will be his first start against the Nationals in his career.

The game is scheduled for a 7:07 p.m. first pitch. The game will be broadcast live on MASN with radio coverage with 106.7 The Fan FM, 1500 WFED AM and 1580 WFHS AM.
